By the end of the 20th century, product volume in Asia had increased by 57 percent and company representatives were building relationships with local suppliers. We began supplying brand, wide-spec and recycled products with our offices in China, India and Korea.

This durable distribution model, in which Muehlstein takes possession of material in China by storing standard products in regional warehouses, will allow local sellers to market product directly to Chinese manufacturers, instead of Muehlstein’s historical practice of selling through resellers and traders.

In early 2005, Michael Kane was appointed as General Manager to lead its Asian expansion efforts for Shanghai.
